Raised in Vestavia Hills, Alabama, Dr. Julia Martorana attended Auburn University for her undergraduate studies before earning her dental degree from the University of Alabama School of Dentistry. She chose dentistry because it combines two things she loves: science and art. Working with her hands while helping children every day is truly a dream come true.

Outside the office, she enjoys baking, needlepointing, and anything chocolate. She is a proud Auburn Tigers fan – War Eagle! She also loves spending time with her husband, David and I have a little boy whom we adore, Davy.

Dr. Alex Thompson grew up in Trussville, Alabama, where her love for community and caring for others first took root. She earned her Bachelor of Science from the University of Alabama before completing her Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) at the University of Alabama at Birmingham School of Dentistry.

She chose dentistry for its unique blend of science, artistry, and personal connection. Her goal is to help every child feel comfortable, confident, and excited about caring for their smile. She’s dedicated to creating positive early experiences that help children grow into confident, healthy adults with strong oral habits. When she’s not in the office, Dr. Thompson enjoys spending time with loved ones and walks with her husky Kona. Some of her favorite things are being involved with her church, playing card games, being near the water, and antiquing. She’s a devoted Alabama fan and candy enthusiast, and she has a wedding in her near future to her fiancé, Lawson!

Dr. Norris was raised in Vestavia Hills, Alabama. He completed his Bachelor’s degree at Brigham Young University. He obtained his Doctor of Dental Medicine from the University of Alabama at Birmingham.

Upon graduation from dental school, Dr. Norris completed a three-year specialty residency in orthodontics earning a Master’s Degree in Dentistry. He is adjunct faculty at UAB School of Dentistry Department of Orthodontics. He is an active member of the American Association of Orthodontists, Southern Association of Orthodontists, American Dental Association, Alabama Dental Association and University of Alabama Orthodontic Alumni Association.

He loves spending time with his wife, Mindi and their three beautiful daughters, Corrine, Kaitlin and Marci.
